Day 01: Arrive Delhi

Namaste—and a warm welcome to India!

You land in India’s bustling capital. Upon your arrival at Delhi Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our tour guide and escorted to your accommodation. 

Together, we navigate the lively traffic to reach our group hotel, where you can take some time to rest and recover from your journey. In the afternoon, we meet up again for a stroll through one of the city’s most vibrant districts.

Today promises an exciting day during which you will experience the magic of Old Delhi firsthand, gathering a wealth of colorful impressions and enjoying authentic encounters. Traveling by minibus, you will make your way to the Friday Mosque, situated just above the historic Old City. At the Jama Masjid you will quickly witness the sublime beauty and majestic grandeur embodied by so many of India’s sacred structures.

We stroll through the narrow lanes teeming with life—where merchants transport all manner of goods in wooden carts along the narrow paths, women in colorful saris do their shopping, and the occasional cow crosses our path! 

while your guide shares stories and insights into daily life in the capital. You will soon notice that the narrower the lanes become, the fewer other tourists you encounter. Traveling as a small group makes your time in Old Delhi a truly special experience.

As promised we will stroll through the Most Famous Paratha wali Gali for our Food Walk, where you will experience the exotic aroma of Paratha, Samosa, Puri Mango Lassi and many more. And later we will take a quick Rickshaw joy ride to Asia's biggest spice market. Here you will witness the mind boggling variety of both local and exotic spices sold across closely lined up shops. 

And again we Hop into a Rickshaw now to make your way through the ever-widening lanes to the Red Fort. This impressive historical landmark—which you will view from the outside—is renowned for its magnificent architecture, historical significance, and cultural diversity and get a Chance to see Fatehpuri Mosque also, built by Fatehpuri Begum on of the wives of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, Sis Ganj Sahib Gurudwara, Hindu and Jain Temple. Don't forget to keep your camera handy so you can snap a few souvenir photos.

We conclude our fascinating walk at the Jama Masjid, India's largest mosque.

Now you leave the Old City behind and enter the Government Quarter. Here, the streets transform into grand boulevards, and you will make occasional brief stops—including at India Gate and the famous statue of Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat, the cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi’’, iconic War Memorial India Gate. Your tour guide will be on hand to explain the historical context regarding Gandhi and India’s pivotal independence movement. Throughout your journey, you will encounter a rich tapestry of different religions, such as Hinduism and Islam. Sikhism is another prominent religion in India; to learn more about it, you will visit the traditional Sikh temple, Shri Bangla Sahib. When entering such a temple, it is customary to observe certain rituals practiced by the worshippers—such as covering your head and washing your hands and feet. You will first enter a courtyard and then proceed to the inner sanctuary, which is easily identified by the sound of spiritual chants. Take a moment to soak up the atmosphere and let the spirituality of the place wash over you. Afterward, your guide will lead you to an adjacent building to show you a vast dining hall, where all worshippers and visitors are warmly welcomed and invited to partake in a complimentary meal—whether hot or cold. Day 02: Delhi

Next we will visit A Symbol Of Excellence In Modern Indian Architecture The Lotus Temple The Baha'i House of Worship, popularly known as the Lotus Temple is not only a symbol of excellence in modern Indian architecture but also one of the most visited religious buildings in the world. This is a place of worship open to all races, religions and castes.

The form of this House of Worship takes the shape of the lotus, a flower considered sacred by most Indians. It is designed to reflect the simplicity, clarity and freshness of the Baha'i Faith and to act as a symbol of the unity of mankind and religions.

After the city's hustle and bustle we will visit Flora and fauna at Lodhi Gardens Delhi. Earlier known as Lady Willingdon Park, Lodhi Gardens is a captivating park, located in New Delhi. Lodhi Gardens present an impressive blend of lush greenery and majestic architecture which belong to the 15th and 16th century. A rich avian fauna can also be spotted here such as babblers, parakeets, mynahs, kites, owls, kingfishers and Hornbills. If you start missing the fascinating Mughal Architecture there, no worry we will again a UNESCO World Heritage Site Humayun’s Tomb and a stunning example of Mughal architecture, built in the 16th century.

And again end our day with peace and spirituality: Akshardham Temple also known as Swaminarayan Akshardham, is one of the largest Hindu temple complexes in the world. It is a masterpiece of spirituality, architecture, and Indian cultural heritage, attracting millions of visitors every year.

Located on the banks of the Yamuna River, this temple is dedicated to Bhagwan Swaminarayan and reflects the essence of traditional Indian art, values, and spirituality.

The temple showcases intricate carvings, stunning domes, and over 200 sculpted figures of deities, sages, and spiritual leaders.

The entire structure is built using pink sandstone and white marble, symbolizing devotion and peace. Unlike many modern constructions, Akshardham does not use steel or concrete, making it a marvel of traditional craftsmanship.

Day 03: Delhi – Agra

Fortify yourself for the day ahead with a hearty breakfast. Once you have left the bustling streets of Delhi behind, you will continue your journey to Agra. The drive is made as pleasant as possible with short coffee breaks along the way, allowing you to stretch your legs.

After reaching Agra, first visit the famous Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This imposing Mughal fortress, built of red sandstone, impresses with its ornate audience hall and the opulent private quarters of the former Emperor Akbar. Immerse yourself in the royal splendor of bygone eras and let yourself be captivated by the impressive architecture and cultural heritage. Agra Fort built by Emperor Akbar over the years 1565 – 1573 with its maze of courtyards, mosques, and private chambers. Most of the buildings originally built by Akbar were destroyed and were replaced by his grandson Shah Jehan.

Day 04: Agra – Abhaneri – Jaipur

Just in time to catch the perfect light, you will rejoin your small group and head toward the Taj Mahal. Around Sunrise, the majestic structure is slowly enveloped in a cool, bluish glow—a sight that will undoubtedly leave you spellbound. Rely on the expertise of your tour guide, who will lead you to the right spot at the optimal moment, ensuring you enjoy a magnificent view of the building.

So, conclude your exciting day in Agra with ample time at the Taj Mahal. This palace is considered one of the most impressive structures ever built in the name of love. Shah Jahan, the Mughal emperor, commissioned its construction in memory of his second wife, who passed away in 1631 while giving birth to their 14th child. Immerse yourself in the romantic atmosphere of this UNESCO World Heritage Site as you stroll through its magnificent gardens and learn further details about this love story from your tour guide then come back to your hotel, take some rest and refuel yourself with a hearty breakfast and get ready for the Journey to Pink City Jaipur.

En route, you will make a fascinating stop at the breathtaking Chand Baori stepwell—a truly unique gem. Here, your knowledgeable tour guide will share the captivating legend behind its creation. Chand Baori is a historic structure located in Abhaneri, built in the 9th century. This architectural masterpiece consists of symmetrical steps descending deep into the earth; it once served as both a gathering place and a water source for the local inhabitants. Today, Chand Baori makes for the perfect stopover on your journey, impressing visitors with its beauty and rich history. It also continues to draw devotees—a fact that makes this site truly special. Adjoining the baori is the architecturally splendid and sculpturally beautiful Harshat Mata temple which was built between the 7th-8th centuries, but was destroyed and damaged by Mahmud Ghazni.

Many of its pillars, columns, and statues now lie scattered in the temple courtyard and in the corridors of the structure. The temple was dedicated to Harshat Mata, believed to be the goddess of happiness and joy, who spread her glow and brightness (abha) around the town.

Day 05: Jaipur

After catching your first glimpse of Jaipur yesterday, today you will explore the city in depth, starting with a special highlight: Amber Fort. This massive fortress complex towers high atop a hill, captivating every visitor with its magnificent architecture, intricate ornamentation, and fascinating history. The sheer size of the complex ensures that the crowds quickly disperse, allowing you to explore the grounds at your leisure alongside your fellow travelers. Once your tour guide has shared all the historical background regarding this former royal residence, you will return to the city, passing the City Palace en route to disembark at the Palace of Winds. With its multitude of intricately designed windows, this palace, too, is renowned as an exceptionally magnificent structure.

From here, you continue your stroll to visit the historic Jantar Mantar Observatory, where you will learn more about the role of horoscopes and beliefs in Indian culture. Afterward, you will wander through the city's rose-hued main thoroughfare—also known as the "Pink City"—which ranks among the more prosperous cities in the region. You will pass numerous shops and bazaar stalls, experiencing a daily life quite distinct from that of Old Delhi.

Together with your tour guide and fellow travelers, you will venture right into the hustle and bustle of the so-called "Food Street" at Bapoo Bazar. Your senses will be fully engaged as a multitude of extraordinary dishes and aromas beckon you to explore. Vendors offer their fabrics, as well as handmade jewelry and footwear. Day 06: Jaipur – Cochin (Flight)

Morning after breakfast, a long drive to Cochin. En route pass tea plantations, villages and countryside landscapes offering a look into rural South India. On arrival check-in at the hotel. In the evening, we will head to Kochi Fort.

Since the beginning of the Common Era, Arabian and Chinese traders sourced spices, especially pepper, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, sandal wood, etc. from the Kochi region. Cultivation and trade of these valuable goods shaped the history of the region. Even today, Kochi is an important centre of spice export. The Arabian traders were the first to know about these spices, and they carried the highly wanted merchandise to Europe. Centuries later, they were followed by the Portuguese, then the Dutch, and afterwards the British and there experience the world famous Kathakali performance, as kathakali, one of the nine recognized classical dance forms of India, it is based on subject matter from the Indian epics Ramayana and Mahabharata, and stories from Shiva literature. Kathakali combines dance, drama, music, and acting. The name kathakali is derived from the Malayalam words katha (“story”) and kali (“play”), reflecting its origins as a form of dramatic storytelling. Traditionally, kathakali is performed exclusively by men and young boys who play the parts of both males and females. The dancers are dedicated to its practice throughout their lives. Day 07: Cochin

Morning after breakfast proceed for a city tour covering the Chinese Fishing Nets, The Chinese fishing nets (Cheena Vala) in Fort Kochi are iconic shore-operated lift nets, introduced by Chinese explorers in the 14th century, and remain a major tourist attraction in Kerala and following Dhobi Ghat. Dhobi Ghat is a typical laundry style in India.The launderers of the Dhobi Khana in Fort Kochi use the traditional method of hanging clothes on ropes to dry the washed clothes. The drying area is a large open space with ropes and clips to prevent the clothes from flying away. During the monsoon season, the community uses electric dryers to dry the clothes.

St.-Francis-Church

And later the St. Francis Church, This Church originally built in 1503, is one of the oldest European churches in India and has historical significance as a witness to the European colonial ambitions in the subcontinent. The Portuguese explorer Vasco da Gama died in Kochi in 1524 when he was on his third visit to India. His body was originally buried in this church, but after fourteen years his remains were relocated to Lisbon and is now interred at Jerónimos Monastery.

And the next stop is Santa Cruz Basilica and it is a historic Roman Catholic church located in Fort Kochi, Kerala, India. It is one of the oldest and most prominent churches in Kerala and holds significant religious and architectural importance. The Santa Cruz Cathedral Basilica in Fort Kochi is one of the eight Basilicas in India. And the Journey continues to be a cherished landmark and spiritual sanctuary for believers and visitors alike., Jewish Synagogue and Jew Town, and the Dutch Palace (Mattancherry Palace).

Day 08: Cochin - Munnar

After Breakfast we will head towards Munnar. On the way to Munnar you will see lush green Landscapes and some waterfalls like Cheeyappara Waterfalls and some other scenic views. After Arrival in Munnar we will discover the Charm of Munnar Tea Gardens and a picturesque tea museum is surrounded by tea gardens and mountains. You can enjoy the aroma of freshly ground tea and watch how tea is processed. Learn more about India’s tea plantation industry. You can also taste different types of tea, including some of the best tea available in India. A very fascinating history of the Tea Plantation in Munnar, that a German planter Baron Von Rosenberg and his son founded the Lockhart Tea Estate which is Munnar’s oldest tea plantation.

After the Tea Plant visit we will head to a stunning cascade surrounded by tea plantations and forests, offering scenic beauty, trekking, rock climbing, and serene picnic spots.

Nyayamakad Waterfalls lies amid the rolling slopes of the Kannan Devan Hills, characterized by interspersed tea gardens and shola forests. The waters cascade down a hill from a height of about 1600 meters, creating a breathtaking spectacle, misty spray and a cool microclimate.

Day 09: Munnar – Madurai

Now we finally arrive in the bustling city of Madurai, which boasts a history spanning over two thousand years. and then return to our Hotel and get ready for the Evening Ceremony at Meenakshi Temple then will end our day at Roof Top Restaurant. Overnight Stay at Hotel.

Day 10: Madurai

So the tour in rickshaw gets you a thrill out of riding into the streets of Madurai, the magical journey makes you as an astute traveller to unravel the open mysteries of this ancient city, a lively tangle of activity in its winding alleys, women clad in colorful garments, bustling markets, and a cacophony of voices coming from every direction. Numerous graceful temple structures define the city's skyline; however, for our sightseeing tour, we will focus on arguably the most beautiful and colorful of them all: You could explore the various activities of Madurai as you gazing and staring at the streets and of Temple, palace St.Mary’s Church, Gandhi Museum, Banana, Vegetables, Bamboo Markets Places and learning of every nook, cranny and corner of lane, visiting the workshop where locals make metal pots on furnace, spinning yarns and sewing towels etc .

After the Rickshaw Ride we will directly head to Thirumalai Nayak, it is a masterpiece combining Dravidian and foreign architectural styles with elan. Day 11: Madurai - Periyar

Today after breakfast you will head towards Periyar. You will travel through small villages—passing rice paddies and sugarcane fields along the way—and wind our way up serpentine roads that offer magnificent vistas, until we finally reach the foothills of Periyar National Park after check in to the Hotel get ready to get rejuvenate, because the traditional Ayurvedic massage awaits you there. Later have dinner at your Hotel.

Tomorrow, we will head out from here to explore the wilderness.

Day 12: Periyar

Hike in Periyar National Park • Visit to a Spice Plantation • Boat trip on Lake Periyar • Ayurveda Massage

We set off for the National park in the early morning hours, as many of its animal inhabitants are particularly active at this time. Accompanied by a knowledgeable local ranger, we hike through the wilderness (2 hours, easy difficulty). Wisps of mist still hang over the rolling hills. With a bit of luck, we may spot hornbills, monkeys, and Sambar deer. We return to our accommodation just in time for breakfast. Afterward, we visit a Spice Plantation, where you will learn all about the cultivation of pepper, cardamom, cinnamon, and other exotic spices. In the afternoon, another highlight awaits: a Boat trip on Lake Periyar. Here, we have the opportunity to observe the wildlife from the water—you might even spot elephants or tigers along the banks and after a very hectic day, get an Ayurvedic massage to rejuvenate yourself.

Day 13: Periyar – Alleppey Houseboat

After breakfastto conclude your tour of multifaceted South India, a truly special highlight awaits you today: you will cruise through the Backwaters aboard a traditional houseboat, experiencing the unique spectacle of winding rivers and untamed nature up close. Day 14: Alleppey - Marari

Kumarakoram Bird Sanctuary • Leisure Time at Beach

Morning after breakfast disembark from the houseboat and proceed to visit Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary spreading over 14 acres of land. Located on the banks of the Vembanad Lake, the sanctuary is a favourite haunt of migratory birds like the Siberian Stork, egret, darter, heron and teal. Local birds like the water fowl, cuckoo, owl and water hen, other common varieties like the wood pecker, sky lark, crane and parrots can also be spotted here. 91 Species of local 50 species of migratory birds are found here.
