From the Golden Temple of Amritsar to the Himalayan valleys of Himachal
A 16-day journey through North India’s most fascinating cultural, spiritual, and mountain destinations. This carefully crafted itinerary combines historic cities, sacred sites, colonial hill stations, Himalayan landscapes, and the spiritual banks of the Ganges River.
The adventure begins in Delhi, where centuries of history, vibrant markets, grand monuments, and diverse cultures create the perfect introduction to India. From there, travel to Amritsar and experience the spiritual atmosphere of the Golden Temple, one of the most revered places in Sikhism, along with the historic Wagah Border ceremony.
The journey continues into the Himalayan foothills with visits to Dalhousie and Khajjiar, often called the "Mini Switzerland of India." Surrounded by pine forests, mountain views, and peaceful landscapes, these destinations offer a refreshing escape from city life.
Further north, Dharamshala introduces travelers to Tibetan culture, Buddhist monasteries, and the residence of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. The route then leads to Manali and Shimla, two of Himachal Pradesh’s most iconic hill stations, known for their scenic valleys, colonial heritage, temples, forests, and mountain charm.
The final part of the journey focuses on spirituality and wellness. Rishikesh, the Yoga Capital of the World, offers peaceful riverfront experiences, yoga traditions, and the famous Ganga Aarti. Nearby Haridwar provides one of India’s most sacred pilgrimage experiences before the tour concludes back in Delhi.

Namaste – Welcome!
After a night spent above the clouds, we arrive in Delhi. Upon arrival, we first complete the entry formalities—which time—before meeting our tour guide. Together, we drive to our accommodation, where we check into our rooms before setting out to gather our first impressions of this metropolis. First, we drive past the Red Fort and reach Old Delhi and visit Jama Masjid - a marvel in red sandstone, built on the banks of River Yamuna by Mughal Emperor Shahjahan
There, we board a rickshaw and let ourselves be chauffeured through the narrow lanes teeming with life—where merchants transport all manner of goods in wooden carts, women in colorful garments do their shopping, and the occasional sacred cow crosses our path.
Now you leave the Old City behind and enter the Government Quarter. Here, the streets transform into grand boulevards, and you will make occasional brief stops—including at India Gate and the famous statue of Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat, the cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi’’, drive pass through iconic War Memorial India Gate.
After it we will end the day with 2 Prominent Temples 1. Bungalow Sahib Gurudwara Sikh Temple and 2. Hindu Laxmi Narayan Temple also known as Birla Mandir. Later you will return to your accommodation!
1 Night Delhi in Delhi
Enjoy the Indian Railway Ride • Market Visit
Morningafter breakfast, transfer to the Railway station to connect the train for Amritsar. Meet upon arrival at Amritsar railway station and transfer to the hotel for check-in. The rest of the day at leisure or explore the local market. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Golden Temple • Jallianwala Bagh • Wagah Border
Morning after breakfast proceed for a city tour of Amritsar – Visit the famous Golden Temple, which is sacred to the Sikhs, where you will find time to tune into the amazing spiritual center and feel the power that inspires the Sikh people worldwide and participate in volunteer work. In the Golden Temple Community Kitchen at an average 75,000 devotees or tourists take langar in the Community Kitchen daily; but the number becomes almost double on special occasions. On average 100 Quintal Wheat Flour, 25 Quintal Cereals, 10 Quintal Rice, 5000 Ltr Milk, 10 Quintal Sugar, 5 Quintal Pure Ghee is used a day. Nearly 100 LPG Gas Cylinders are used to prepare the meals. 100’s of employees and devotees render their services to the kitchen. Later visit Jallianwala Bagh, is a historic site commemorating the tragic massacre of 1919, where British troops killed hundreds of unarmed Indian civilians. It stands as a powerful symbol of resistance and the struggle for Indian independence.
In the afternoon, drive about 45 minutes to the Pakistan border at Wagah for the “Beating the Retreat” ceremony. Each day at sunset, soldiers from both countries march in an amazing spectacle of pomp and circumstance while crowds watch and cheer them taking down their respective national flags. Stay overnight at a hotel in Amritsar.
Market Visit at Subhash and Gandhi Chowk
Morning after breakfast proceed to the picturesque hill station of Dalhousie. Enjoy the scenic drive through the Himalayan foothills. After arrival we will stroll through the market as it’s really worth it to visit in the evening.Gandhi Chowk is the starting point for exploring nearby sites such as Subhash Baoli, Satdhara Falls, and the Dainkund Peak trek. Its pedestrian-friendly streets feature cafés, souvenir stalls, and local handicraft shops. The square also offers panoramic views of the snow-clad Pir Panjal Range Stay overnight at a hotel.

Khajjiar • Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary
Morning after breakfast visit the beautiful meadow of Khajjiar, often referred to as the "Mini Switzerland of India." Explore lush forests, rolling meadows and breathtaking mountain views and visit Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary. also known as Kalatop–Khajjiar Sanctuary, is a protected forest area in the Chamba district of India. Excellent for short hikes, birdwatching, and deodar forests. Stay overnight at a hotel in Dalhousie.
Journey to Dharamsala • Market Visit
Dharamsala (1,460 m). Naturally, we will make frequent stops along the way wherever particularly beautiful views present themselves. In the late afternoon, we finally arrive in this mountain town, nestled amidst forests. It was here that the Dalai Lama and his Tibetan government found refuge following their expulsion from Tibet in 1959. The town—particularly Upper Dharamsala—teems with Tibetans, who radiate a cheerful and quite lively atmosphere. Reason enough to stay here for two nights. Our hotel is located in Lower Dharamsala, where things are a bit quieter and in the evening we will have the opportunity to visit the local market.

Bhagsunath Temple • Dalai Lama Temple • McLeod Ganj Market • St. John Church • Norbulingka Institute
After breakfast you will proceed to McLeod Ganj and first we visit Bhagsunath Temple. It is a revered shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva and the Snake God Bhagsu Nag. Surrounded by natural springs, sacred pools, and the trail to the Bhagsu Waterfall later proceed to Dalai Lama Temple also known as Tsuglagkhang Complex is a Tibetan Buddhist monastery, temple, and cultural centre. It is the largest Tibetan monastery outside Tibet and serves as the spiritual and political headquarters of the Tibetan government-in-exile and stroll around the McLeod GanjMarket (Tibet Market) and St. JohnChurch in the Wilderness. Later we will visit the beautiful Norbulingka Tibetan Art & Culture Institute. It is one of the most renowned and significant centres of Tibetan culture, learning, and craftsmanship in the world. Stay overnight at the hotel in Dharmshala.
Journey to Manali • Market Mall Road
Morning after breakfast drive through scenic mountain roads to Manali. Upon arrival check in at the hotel and in the evening we will visit Mall Road. Here you will find Local handicraft shops selling woolen shawls, Kullu caps, Tibetan handicrafts, and souvenirs, Cafés and restaurants offering Himachali, North Indian, Tibetan, and international cuisine and Street food stalls with momos, thukpa, roasted corn, and local snacks. Stay overnight at a hotel.

Hadimba Devi Temple • Vashisht Temple • Hike in Old Manali and Manu Temple
Morning after breakfast Visit Hadimba Devi Temple,Hadimba Devi Temple is a wooden temple, dedicated to Hadimba, a figure from the Mahabharata epic, it is known for its unique pagoda-style architecture and tranquil forest setting. Later we will visit Vashisht Temple, The temple is believed to be over 4,000 years old and is renowned for its beautiful traditional Himachali architecture, featuring intricate wood carvings and stonework. This temple features a stone-and-wood structure with intricate carvings, sloping roofs, and a sanctum housing the idol of sage Vashisht. Surrounding it are smaller shrines and hot-water baths enclosed within stone tanks—one designated for men and another for women. The natural thermal springs maintain warmth even in winter, and many visitors bathe here for their reputed healing properties Mall Road Manali and the surrounding valleys and later a Hike in Old Manali. Journey to Shimla • Leisure Time
Morning after breakfast proceed to the charming hill station of Shimla.
The road trip from Manali to Shimla is one of the most scenic drives in Himachal Pradesh. The journey is roughly 230–250 km and usually takes 7–9 hours depending on traffic and road conditions. You will drive through Kullu, Mandi and Pandoh Dam. Upon arrival check in at the hotel. Stay overnight at a hotel.

Dedicated to Lord Hanuman, the temple is both a spiritual landmark and a prominent viewpoint offering panoramic vistas of the surrounding Himalayas. Toy Train Ride
Morning after breakfast drive to Rishikesh. First we will get a Toy Train from Shimla. This Ride would be filled with enjoyable and scenic views. And later we will again board our mini Bus or car for Rishikesh. In the evening, relax at the hotel. Stay overnight at a hotel.

Enjoying a full day in Rishikesh we will visit today Lakshman Jhula, it is a historic suspension bridge in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, India spanning the Ganges River. Completed in 1929, it connects the villages of Tapovan and Jonk across the river and is revered for its association with Lakshmana from the Ramayana. The bridge remains an enduring symbol of Rishikesh’s blend of spirituality, engineering heritage, and scenic charm. Activities include yoga sessions, nature walks, café hopping and attending the evening Ganga Aarti at Parmarth Niketan and a walk to Beatles Ashram. Stay overnight at a hotel in Rishikesh.
Leisure Time • Ganga Aarti (Ceremony) at Har ki Pauri
Morning after breakfast drive to Haridwar. Haridwar is a historic city in Uttarakhand, India, revered as one of Hinduism’s seven holiest places. Situated on the banks of the river Ganges River at the foothills of the Shivalik range, it marks the point where the river descends from the Himalayas to the plains. Known as the “Gateway to the Gods,” Haridwar attracts millions of pilgrims each year seeking spiritual purification and liberation. Today you are free to explore the city on your own or just relax at the Hotel and in the evening we will go for Ganga Aarti (Ceremony). Stay overnight at a hotel.
